“For me, to be a Scientologist is to be open to the world,” says Bernard. “When I look [at] the person I was before Scientology, I was someone pretty shy and I didn’t speak with [people] and I was withdrawing from other people. And now, this is almost the reverse. I mean I can speak with anyone and I like to speak to as many [people] as I can.”
