Collin Monda is an award-winning director and filmmaker working in documentary, narrative and animation formats. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, his recent work has focused on our relationship with nature and finding truth in the complex realism that sits between political divides. The Trouble With Wolves is Collin’s debut feature documentary.
The Trouble With Wolves is an intimate look at the debate surrounding wildlife conservation efforts in Yellowstone National Park. Once exterminated from the lower 48 states in the early 1900s, the gray wolf’s triumphant return to Yellowstone and the surrounding states has been characterized by many as “the greatest animal conservation success in human history.” However, to ranchers whose livelihoods are impacted, the story is dramatically different.
