Cuban Food Stories is a unique documentary about food, society and culture on the island of Cuba. The filmmaker returns to the country after living abroad and embarks on a road trip all around the island to reconnect with the foods and flavors from his childhood. Along the way, his adventure reveals the resilience of Cuban people to adapt, innovate and, ultimately, celebrate the bounty nature provides to carry on their beloved heritage.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Asori Soto is an award-winning director and producer who studied art history at the University of Havana and documentary filmmaking through NYU Tisch at the Ludwig Foundation in Cuba.
