    Easy Like Water

In Easy Like Water, as rivers rise and overtake villages in Bangladesh, the fight for survival in the face of climate change gives rise to a visionary architect. FILM SYNOPSIS

Bangladesh is considered ground zero for the devastating effects of climate change. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the flooded rural villages where architect Mohammed Rezwan is tirelessly working to provide a future for the families who can rightly be called the first victims of climate disruption. Rezwan’s innovative solutions have led to the creation of boat schools—boats equipped with solar-powered internet—in order to bring the schools to children who would otherwise have no access to an education.

    More

Known as “Bangladesh’s Noah,” Rezwan’s goal is to expand his model to include floating clinics, shelters and cinemas. But one of his greatest challenges lies in securing the funding necessary to implement his vision to ensure the survival of his people.

Easy Like Water is a revealing look into the power of one man’s ingenuity in the face of the greatest threat to the modern world.

“Bangladesh is ground zero for climate change. Islands are getting smaller. The rivers are getting bigger. If 20 percent of the country goes underwater, where will these people go?”
    –Mohammed Rezwan
